    Group Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Tham Chee Aun is the founder and CEO of Ditrolic Energy Group, a regional clean energy company, with over 14 years of experience in the field of solar and renewable energy in Malaysia and beyond.

    As one of the early starters of the industry, he has broad experience in business development, project execution, corporate and project structuring as well as wide exposure in renewable energy finance and contracts. In his capacity as the Group CEO, he provides strategic direction to the company and manages operations in the key strategic area of the group businesses.

    Dr. Valerie Speth is the Co-Lead APAC for the Climate Infrastructure Group which invests and manages investments and portfolio companies of the Global Renewable Power Fund 3 (4.8 Billion USD) and the Climate Finance Partnership (673 Mio. USD). As a qualified mechanical engineer, she brings more than 15 years’ of experience in the renewable power sector in Europe and APAC. Prior to joining BlackRock, she was the CEO of a global wind and solar developer for APAC and hold senior leadership positions in strategy, M&A and portfolio management. Dr. Valerie was placed in the “Top 40 under 40” in 2019, 2020 and 2021 by the Capital business magazine in Germany.

    Mr. Jacky Lee holds multiple pivotal roles within Ditrolic Energy, exemplifying his versatile expertise and leadership in the renewable energy sector. As the CEO of Construction at Ditrolic Solar, he oversees major projects and ensures the highest standards in solar PV installations. Additionally, he serves as the Executive Director of Ditrolic Solar (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, where he spearheaded Ditrolic Energy’s strategic expansion into East Malaysia.

    In his role as the Managing Director of Ditrolic OMS Sdn Bhd, Jacky is responsible for the comprehensive asset management of the company’s diverse portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of solar assets.

    Jacky’s extensive professional experience in engineering makes him an invaluable asset to the company. His all-encompassing skills span every stage of project development, from initial design and installation to the ongoing maintenance of large-scale solar PV projects, solidifying Ditrolic Energy’s position as a leader in the industry.

  • Michelle Ong

    Non-independent Executive Director

    Ms. Michelle Ong is one of the key drivers behind Ditrolic Energy’s business and company growth. She improved and expanded the company’s sales programme from a field sales force orientation to a broader market approach, improving returns and profit for the group.

    With 15 years of hands-on experience in large-scale solar PV projects across Asia, she is a strong proponent for strategic and comprehensive renewable energy and sustainable business initiatives. These include introducing low carbon and low-cost power solutions to Malaysia and bringing innovative clean energy products and services to the region.

    As proof of her competency and expertise, she has led around 400 Solar PV deployment projects, developed close to 400MW of Solar PV projects and pioneering net zero solutions for our clients. Leveraging on Ditrolic Energy’s EnerLoop solution, Michelle is driving the next phase of company growth through designing net zero energy roadmap for our corporate clients.

  • Tham Chee Aun

    Non-independent Executive Chairman

    Mr. Tham Chee Aun is the founder and CEO of Ditrolic Energy Group, a regional clean energy company, with over 14 years of experience in the field of solar and renewable energy in Malaysia and beyond.

    As one of the early starters of the industry, he has broad experience in business development, project execution, corporate and project structuring as well as wide exposure in renewable energy finance and contracts. In his capacity as the Group CEO, he provides strategic direction to the company and manages operations in the key strategic area of the group businesses.

    To date, Mr Tham Chee Aun has successfully developed and owned more than 350MW of projects in various countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Bangladesh. He also sits on the board of a Chinese and European Fortune 500 Independent Power Producer subsidiary.

    Tham Chee Aun holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in Electrical & Computer System.
